This shawl is perfect for spring, fall, or breezy summer nights. It is a simple pattern made up of Ewraps and Purls with decreases on each row to create the triangle pattern. Different color yarns can be used to create stripes or a colorblock pattern.

Final shawl will measure 56" wide and 23" long. Adjust number of pegs for a larger or smaller shawl.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
LOOM: KB adjustable loom or 3/8" gauge loom with 190 pegs
YARN: Approximately 800 yards of worsted 4 weight yarn
I used Caron One Pound in White for my first ~50 rows, two different yarns from Temu for the blue/aqua middle rows, and Caron Jumbo Ombre in Carrera Marble for the end rows. The Caron yarns are a thicker worsted weight yarn which worked especially well for the top of the shawl to have a more structured look around the neck. However, I think a thinner worsted weight yarn would work well for the entire shawl as well.
TOOLS: loom hook, scissors, crochet hook (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Crochet chain cast on 190 pegs. U knit the last cast on peg. You can also use the tail end of the slipknot to u knit the first cast on peg.
You will start with a row of all purls, slipping the end pegs. To slip the end pegs, you will skip the first peg when knitting the row, and U-knit the last peg.
Since this pattern is a simple repeat of 2 rows, you can cast on in either direction, and start with rows of Ewraps or Purls based on your preference. See the Alternate section below for the pattern starting with Ewraps.
Row 1: Slip, purl all pegs, slip.
On each row after the first row, you will decrease at the end of each row by doing a knit 2 together (k2tog) stitch. To do this, you'll use your yarn hook to bring the yarn from the last peg over to the second to the last peg, then you'll u knit to slip both strands as one.
Row 2: Slip, Ewrap all pegs to second to last peg, k2tog.
Row 3: Slip, Purl all pegs to second to last peg, k2tog.
Repeat until you've worked all pegs.
FINISHING
When you get down to your final 4 pegs, you'll work 1 peg and do a k2tog in one direction, then a k2tog in the other direction. You'll be left with 2 wrapped pegs. Take the yarn from one peg to the other and use your loom hook to wrap the bottom loop over the peg to leave one wrapped peg. Then wrap your working yarn through the loop, cut your working yarn to leave a short tail, and take your work off the loom to pull the working yarn tight.
Weave in all ends.
